Project Overview

QuietSpacer is a mobile geolocation mindfulness application designed to help users reduce stress and increase calmness by finding suitable places to rest. It allows individuals to explore new quiet spots and track moods. The app is built with React Native and integrates Firebase for authentication and Firestore for storing user data such as moods, bookmarks, and reviews.

Problem

I was given three cards to make a mobile app in react native and acted as a guide for what I needed to create. My app needed to be related to reducing stress, geolocation, and the buttons are not meant to be traditional.

Solution

I came up with the idea for QuietSpacer, which is an app that is meant to help those who need to quiet and secluded place to relax and unwind.

Technologies used

I used the react native framework for the frontend and firebase for the backend and authentication of the users.

Planning and Ideation

During this phase I decided on the basic design and what my pages would generally look like as well as basic style guide and ERD

Creating places on map and save them

I made crud operations to insert and call for places which are placed on a map and can be interacted and found by other users who may want to visit

Results

I made functional app which demonstrates and matches the inspirations and allows others to find quiet and relaxing areas around them.
